"Vow"

by Garbage

This is one of the best songs from Garbage's debut (eponymous) album. I really like the guitars and pacing. It's a vibe. Stupid Girl is another great song from that album. 4/5.

"Informer"

by Snow

My feelings regarding this song are complicated. On one hand, some fast-rapping Canadian guy is having a great time and being a total rebel. On the other hand, this is music by cornballs for cornballs. I cannot truly rate this song, but I'm putting this here in case anybody can help me process my emotions for Informer. Please reach out if you can help me. ?/5.

"Kilby Girl"

by The Backseat Lovers

Never underestimate the power of emo teenager music. Once upon a time, this song landed me a date! Although the lyrics are pretty basic, this song is a good time and worth a listen. Maple Syrup and Watch Your Mouth are other standout tracks from these guys. 4/5.

"Black Celebration"

by Depeche Mode

Both Black Celebration the SONG and Black Celebration the ALBUM are masterpieces. The atmospheric synths in this song paired with poignant lyrics make for a timeless track that I just can't get enough of. As for the album, Stripped and Shake the Disease (although technically a B-side) are other standouts. Heck, the whole album is a standout. Listen to it now! Thank me later. 5,000,000/5.

"Greedy"

by Tate McRae

This is a song that was so mainstream that it became grating. I'm not one to hate on something solely for being popular, but I will lambaste something for being painfully bland. This song is the stale saltine cracker of music. Sorry, Tate. 1/5.

"Enjoy the Silence"

by Depeche Mode

One of the most famous Depeche Mode songs, and for good reason. It epitomizes the band's sound after years of refinement. The whole Violator album is excellent. 5/5.

"She Blinded Me With Science"

by Thomas Dolby

Once you get past the amusing lyrics, this is a very standard new wave affair that leans on its quirkiness rather than featuring any musical intrigue. 2/5.

"Linger"

by The Cranberries

The sort of song for summer nights (after getting your heart broken by some horrible villain)! 4/5.

"Robot Voices"

by Twenty-One Pilots

This song is a good time. It's not going to change your life, but it might just enhance it. 4/5.

"House Tour"

by Sabrina Carpenter

Vapid song. It has an okay generic pop beat but is marred by raunchy lyrics that fail to inspire. Sorry, Sabrina. You have plenty of better songs! 2/5.
